The same song every day

What you need

How to do it

Pick one short song and attach it to one moment in the day — the same song before the bath, every time.

Sing it the same way each day: same words, same tune, same actions. Resist varying it.

After a week or two, watch what happens in the first two notes. Anticipation is the whole point of the exercise.

Why it works

Predictable repetition lets a baby build an expectation and then confirm it, which is how sequences get encoded. A song tied to a fixed moment also becomes a signal for what happens next, which reduces the friction of transitions.
